as i write this im having the best time of this entire week..
i had a lousy week.
reported sick on monday for my painful knee, subsequently missed an outfield lesson which was really xiong. din hav to camo that day, but even following the section arnd after lunch until the night made me real tired. wondering how to cope wif this sort of life for at least 3 more weeks.
missed soc on tuesday, but later joined in on section training. got threatened by pc that if anybody missed too many lessons he would be liable to fail the course. with dat, im going to bite the bit and hang on with these battle-weary 2 legs of mine and just complete the course. just cant wait to get it all over with.
on wednesday had our bn test. found out that the theory test was like geography, and that i had to fail it. din noe most of the answers. felt like jc all over again... until the afternoon that is, when we went outfield and did the real navigation. felt that it wasnt too tough after all. hehe.
highlight of thursday and friday had to be exercise gypsy. in the 2 days i walked 40 to 50 km, slept less than 10 hrs, and felt really really shag. not confident in finding any checkpoints at all, esp. when they are just a small signboard mounted on tree! nearly impossible to find at times. on the first day my section found both day checkpts but found onli 1 night checkpt, which took us more than an hour combing an area in pitch darkness wif mosquitos buzzing arnd like crazy. on the second day we screwed up the day chckpts, finding onli 1 out of 3, but then successfully found both night checkpnts. had a bad abrasion after dat.
wat realli made me wanna cry was misfiring on friday, just b4 gypsy 2. din noe wat the hell i was thinking when i wanted to clear my weapon even b4 any command was given. in the end i had to sign 2 extras, one which i did on saturday. it meant that i could not go back 4 hwa chong's homecoming. darn. luckily it was camp orderly guard duty, which meant dat i did not have to prowl arnd, and could still get some rest. still, it felt real terrible.
reached home at abt noon today. did most of the things i wanted to and had to do. going out 4 dinner wif my family later. this always get my spirits up.
hopefully a gd week lies ahead. God pls watch over me.
