hmm actually im not feeling well but tot dat i shld post this b4 i forget. yeah im missing law camp anywae.
talked 2 hero on msn and he realli said something dat got under my skin. most of the time i tink he craps a lot but this i feel is realli true. its about winning and why i dont. i always felt that its the process of training and practising and preparing for competitions dat are important and not so much the outcome. which i discovered is why i never won anything of mention b4. hero said he would never take part in a competition he could never have a chance of winning. i must admit i couldnt accept such a statement at first, but then i realised that he wasnt totally wrong. in the end what is remembered is what you've won, isn't it?
i felt before that enjoying my training with my teammates was of utmost importance. if i cannot enjoy the months and years put into practising then i wouldnt take up the sport in the first place. i oso felt that winning a competition took perhaps onli a couple of minutes compared to the long time taken in the preparation. which was why the journey was more important than the outcome. if life was all about winning, then life would onli be able those couple of minutes in every competition.
but this logic was flawed. winning wasnt just about the couple of minutes. it is about the entire length of time taken for the training. from the moment you've started to practice you've started the competition. and it should also be the moment you are geared towards victory. i have never understood this winning mentality, which is probably why i have never finished first. but everyone shld try 2 build such a competitive streak in them if they want to achieve something in life.
and dats why life is, sadly, realli abt winning. nobody remembers second-best. in the end onli alexander graham bell was remembered for inventing the telephone, not the other person (who?) that got close.
