"what if Jesus were a law student?"

Luke 6:1-11

The Pharisees challenged Jesus for allowing his disciples to pluck grain, and for healing, on the Sabbath. But Jesus was not one who would bow down to the rules of what was "lawful" or "unlawful"! Rules were made for a purpose, and if the purpose could not be served by strict obediance to the rules, then the rules no longer serve any purpose and should be ignored, changed or refined.

Mete out justice not by rules of law, but by rules of justice.
