a tribute to spidey

every kid should have a spiderman in their life. there are tons of other superheroes around, but for some reason he's always gonna be the best. perhaps because he's more human than the rest. perhaps he's just more relatable. he's not an all-powerful alien from outer-space like clark "superman" kent. he's not a super-rich billionaire like bruce "batman" wayne. nor does he have a merry band of mutant friends like the x-men or fantastic 4. he is just ur friendly neighbourhood spiderman. take away his spider suit and he is just your regular geek, trying to make it through college and make ends meet, loving his aunt who brought him up, and loving a girl way out of his own league. he has his weaknesses like everyone else; he had given up before, and he had found his ego in the way. but his inner good always shone through. he is the kid nxt door made good, the underdog who got his day.
and everyone loves an underdog. everybody needs a superhero.

and spidey, well, he is the superhero for the kid in me.
