its reading week

i'm leaving for taiwan in a few hours time and i suppose this is going to be my best reading week ever :)

this taiwan trip will certainly bring back some memories. memories of an oasis in a desert. memories of being a stranger in a foreign land. memories of how family was, and still is, the top-most thing on my mind. memories of loneliness. memories of adventure. memories of times where hopes and dreams were the driving force in my life.
sometimes i wonder if it is good to rmb so much in so much detail. sometimes i wish i had selective amnesia to erase those memories i didn't want. but i guess that would be akin to erasing a part of my life, and i'm not sure that would be a good thing either.

the hurt will pass. time, and God, will heal. and we will emerge stronger.
