same, but different

its funny how ppl look the same, sound the same, but just aren't same anymore. and i wondered why. i didn't mean to overhear, but i think that explained it. too much could happen, in just a very short time.
i wonder if i feel the same to other ppl. i've been through the same. and if i'm not the same, let me be for the better.
illusions of a lifetime, shattered into pieces, dreams fallen apart. we gather up the shards, but not all will mend.
