at the sub courts now, bored
first day of pro bono at the sub courts, and as expected, i'm not receiving much 'business' so far. hope things pick up. i want to tell ppl that claims at sct are limited to $10,000. $20,000 if there is consent from both parties, though i suspect this will be rare. and i want to tell them OUR jurisdiction is limited to contractual claims involving goods and services, and leases less than 2 years duration :D
i want to tell ppl to settle cos otherwise there will be a waste of time and effort!

postscript: i saw chee soon juan at trial! walked around when there was nothing to do and then saw a case abt some protest, and waddaya know, it's the sdp. hahah. i suppose he shld be a rather regular figure there though.
