what will i do without starbucks in my life. haha.
last nite at starbucks i was reading a case when 3 girls from ac sat down at a neighbouring table and started gossiping. gossip and not talk cos there was this bitchy air to the conversation (i needn't eavesdrop; it was all very audible). but it being gossip and not just talk made it all the more entertaining. 2 of them were giving advice to one on how to subtlety reject a guy who has been on to her. sheesh. "but do u like him?" "yes, but as a friend." ouch.
well i took 2 hours to read a darn case so i wasn't going to stay any longer and allow myself to be distracted by those girls. (even commenting on gossip makes this post gossipy.) so i went home to my mundane existence, never being in the same league of these gossip girls anyway.
this morning i'm back at starbucks when the cute barista asked me if my order was an americano even before i said anything. haha. crap. i must been there all too regularly lately, infusing myself with caffeine that doesn't seem to be working cos i'm sleeping more than ever. fortunately for me the nightmare of my ever-increasing pile of readings falling upon me and crushing me to death has gotten me awake early this bright beautiful morning to mug at starbucks. no, it was not the cute barista. but she was cute. extra points for remembering me. employee of the year already.
ok enough of this flighty nonsense i have readings to conquer!
