till i see the sunlight

work picks up as i make my dreaded journey from law student to lawyer. 6 months may seem a short time, but wait till you work from dawn to dusk, over weekends, and 6 months feels like eternity.

but i kinda knew what i had gotten myself into when i signed up for it. being in the m&a department of one of the two largest corporate firms in the country was never gonna be easy. so i guess i can't say that i had no notice :D

anyways, i've decided to make some resolutions in the past week that i've been working. one, to make a list of things i've learnt so that i do not make the same mistakes. two, to get myself retained with the firm. and three, to save up and watch my spending.

in time i'll look back and see how inept i've been in the first few months at practice. i've learnt that time does heal all things. those painfully awkward moments just seem funny now. those painfully painful moments don't hurt so much anymore.

january 2011 is shaping up well. let's hope the rest of the year follows :)
