when i was young
remember when you were young and you thought that everything in life would turn out alright? like u'd be a teacher when you grow up. or a secret agent. or a soldier. (thank God i got over the last one).
well things don't always turn out the way you expect, do they? ambitions alter over the years. minds change over time. dreams get watered down. and even when you achieve some of your goals, they weren't what you really had in mind.
that dream job was but a silhouette of your dream job. that first love of yours never became a happily ever after. those things you told yourself u would do, u never even learnt them.
it's reality. it's adulthood. it's this thing that makes us take off our rose-tinted glasses and realize, well, life just ain't what we expected it to be.
first post of 2011, 11 days late. i didn't expect bloggy to last this long when it first started. things just don't always turn out the way we expect.
